Description
The Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/2 Non-AI (K-type / rubber-grip version) is a classic manual focus standard prime lens built for early Nikon 35mm film SLRs, including the Nikon F, F2, Nikkormat FS, FT, and FTn series. Celebrated for its outstanding optical sharpness, high contrast, and flat field correction, this late Non-AI variation features modern diamond-pattern rubber focusing grip construction while retaining the traditional 6-element optical formula. Delivering rich color rendering and smooth background bokeh, it remains a favorite choice for vintage Nikon film shooters and modern mirrorless digital adapters.
Condition

Collector's Notes
The late Non-AI rubber-grip 50mm f/2 Nikkor represents the final evolution of Nikon's pre-AI standard 50mm f/2 design before the AI conversion system was introduced in 1977. Highly regarded by vintage lens enthusiasts for its superior edge-to-edge sharpness and ergonomic handling, sound optical examples remain popular choices for retro film photography and digital mirrorless adaptation.
