Description
Leica IIIa 35mm rangefinder camera body, serial number 255418, manufactured in 1937 by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar. A beautifully engineered pre-war classic featuring dual-rangefinder/viewfinder windows, screw-mount lens compatibility (M39), and shutter speeds from 1/20s to 1/1000s. This model introduced the 1/1000s top speed over the earlier III, making it a favourite among collectors and Leica historians.
Ideal for display, restoration, or use with vintage Leica lenses. The IIIa’s compact brass body and chrome finish reflect Leica’s precision craftsmanship of the era. A true piece of photographic history.
