Renowned for its classic portrait focal length, sharp central resolution, and pleasant background bokeh, it features an integrated retractable metal lens hood for convenient flare prevention in high-contrast lighting. Constructed with an all-metal barrel, diamond-pattern rubber focus ring, 55mm front filter thread, and native Minolta SR / MD bayonet mount. Cosmetically in clean condition with minor handling wear on the exterior barrel and retractable lens hood. Front glass elements are clear and bright with rich purple multi-coatings. Rubber focus grip turns smoothly and uniformly across the distance scale. Aperture ring clicks crisply into all detents down to f/22, minimum aperture lock functions, and diaphragm blades are dry, oil-free, and snappy. Built-in metal lens hood extends and retracts smoothly. However, optical inspection reveals noticeable fungus bloom and marks on the rear element glass requiring cleaning/service. Serial number 1038479. Offered as-is for spares, repair, or optical cleaning.
