Covering an 80–300mm equivalent field of view (on Four Thirds bodies), it’s ideal for portraiture, wildlife, and travel photography. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements help minimise chromatic aberration, while the compact design makes it a practical companion for Olympus E-series cameras.

This lens was part of Olympus’s early digital Zuiko lineup, offering solid optical performance in a compact form. Though later superseded by the f/4–5.6 version, this f/3.5–4.5 variant is prized for its slightly brighter aperture and metal mount. Fully compatible with Four Thirds DSLRs such as the E-1, E-510, and E-620. Not compatible with Micro Four Thirds without an adapter.
