The Olympus OM-System Zuiko AUTO-W 28mm f/2.8 is an ultra-compact wide-angle prime lens designed in Japan for Olympus OM mount 35mm SLR cameras. Known for its featherlight design and exceptional optical performance, this wide prime features a multi-coated 7-element, 7-group optical layout delivering sharp contrast and minimal distortion. Features a manual focus helicoid, front aperture ring stopping down to f/22, dual depth-of-field scale markings in feet and meters, and the classic OM double-push-button lens release mechanism. Serial number 287197. Complete with the original Olympus rigid leatherette storage case, dedicated metal/rubber lens hood (marked 3.5/28), and front/rear lens caps.

Cosmetically in exceptionally clean condition with smooth satin black finishing and crisp painted lettering. Rubber diamond-pattern focus grip is immaculate and turns smoothly and evenly across the distance scale. Aperture ring clicks positively into place at all stops from f/2.8 to f/22, and diaphragm blades are clean, snappy, and free from oil. Optical path is bright and clear with vibrant purple multi-coatings, free from fungus, haze, or major scratches; minor internal dust specks are present as standard for vintage optics. Mount chrome is clean and snaps securely into OM camera bodies. Fully tested and operational.
