Description

An authentic vintage Asahi Pentax SMC rectangular clip-on lens hood with a 49mm mounting diameter. Designed specifically for wide-angle SMC Pentax K-mount prime lenses, including the 28mm f/2.8, 28mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, and 35mm f/2.8 optics. Features a spring-loaded quick-release clip mechanism for rapid attachment and removal over standard 49mm lens rims. The rectangular profile matches the 35mm film frame aspect ratio to maximise flare protection without causing corner vignetting. Collector's Notes

Rectangular clip-on hoods from the original Pentax K-series era are increasingly hard to find with fully functional spring clips. Engineered during the mid-1970s alongside classic bodies like the Pentax KX, K2, and ME Super, this dedicated hood completes period-correct setups for vintage wide-angle prime shooters.
