Description
Canon EOS-1 35mm autofocus SLR body in very good condition ( notice the eye cup could do with replacing), launched in 1989 as Canon’s first professional EOS camera. Built around the EF lens mount, it introduced high-speed TTL phase-detection autofocus and a rugged polycarbonate-over-metal chassis. Designed for demanding professionals, it features a fixed pentaprism viewfinder with 100% coverage, shutter speeds from 30s to 1/8000s, and compatibility with the full range of Canon EF lenses.
This model marked Canon’s transition from FD to EF mount, offering electronic lens control and a modern layout still familiar to users today. A true milestone in SLR history — ideal for collectors, film shooters, and Canon enthusiasts.
Condition
Excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. Shutter fires accurately across all speeds. Viewfinder bright and clear. Autofocus responsive. Film advance and rewind smooth. Body shows minimal wear with no dents or corrosion. Battery compartment clean. A well-preserved example of Canon’s flagship film SLR.
