The KMZ Zarya is a Soviet 35mm scale focus camera produced between 1959 and 1961 by the FED factory in Kharkov, USSR. A simplified version of the FED-2, the Zarya was designed for the domestic market and features a Leica-inspired body, M39 screw mount, and manual zone focusing. Unlike most Soviet cameras of its era, the Zarya does not include a rangefinder mechanism, making it ideal for wide-angle shooting or use with external accessories.
