The Nikon FM2 is a legendary, fully mechanical 35mm manual-focus SLR camera body finished in an attractive black enamel finish. Famous for its ultra-fast top shutter speed of 1/4000s and flash sync of 1/200s, it operates entirely mechanically without needing battery power (batteries power only the TTL light meter). Fitted with a sharp Nikkor 50mm f/2 prime lens (Serial No. 3564825). Camera body serial number N 7384056. Complete with front lens cap and Nikon embroidered neck strap.

Cosmetically in very good pre-owned vintage condition showing light handling wear and subtle brassing on edges of the black metal top plate and prism casing. Mechanical focal-plane shutter release operates smoothly, shutter speeds and light meter vary appropriately across settings, and mechanical self-timer functions properly. Film advance lever cocks cleanly and frame counter functions correctly. Honeycomb pattern shutter blades are flat and undamaged. Viewfinder is bright with clear microprism focusing screen. Nikkor 50mm f/2 lens glass optics are bright and clear, free from fungus, haze, or scratches. Focus ring turns smoothly and aperture blades are clean and responsive, minor knock to filter ring.
