An authentic vintage original Nikon HN-23 screw-in metal lens hood with a 62mm thread diameter. Designed specifically for short telephoto portrait lenses, including the Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 AI-s and AF 85mm f/1.8 / f/1.8D optics. Precision-machined from black anodized aluminium with internal anti-reflective micro-grooves to eliminate stray light flare and ghosting. Features clean white lettering reading "Nikon HN-23 JAPAN". Made in Japan.

Cosmetically in very good pre-owned vintage condition showing light handling wear and minor rim edge paint rubbing on the outer black finish. Metal casing is round and true with no denting or impact damage. Male 62mm screw threads are clean, smooth, and attach easily to compatible lens filter rings. Clean internal non-reflective coating.
