The Micro-Nikkor-P Auto 55mm f/3.5 is a legendary manual focus macro prime lens engineered by Nippon Kogaku / Nikon for 35mm F-mount SLR cameras. Renowned worldwide for its flat-field optical correction, extreme edge-to-edge resolution, and virtually zero distortion, making it an industry standard for macro, close-up, document copy, and standard focal length photography. Built around a 5-element in 4-group optical formula ("P" designating Penta / 5 elements), featuring a diamond-pattern rubber focus ring, silver chrome barrel ring, aperture ring with original meter coupling prong ("rabbit ears"), and standard 52mm front filter thread. Native Non-AI bayonet mount focusing down to 1:2 magnification natively, and reaching true 1:1 life-size macro magnification when paired with the included original Nikon M2 extension ring. Serial number 653281. Complete with original Nikon M2 extension ring, hard clear plastic lens bubble case, inner white base display stand, front snap-on cap, and rear screw-mount cap.

Glass elements are pristine, clear, and bright with rich anti-reflective multi-coatings. Free from haze, fungus, separation, or severe scratches. Rubber focus grip turns smoothly and evenly throughout its extended macro throw. Aperture ring clicks crisply into all detents down to f/32, and the aperture blades are clean, oil-free, and snappy.
