Description

The Nikon Nikkor 135mm f/3.5 AI is a classic manual focus telephoto prime lens featuring a native Nikon AI (Auto Indexing) F bayonet mount. Engineered with high-quality optical glass and Nikon Integrated Coating (NIC) to control internal reflections, ghosting, and flare while delivering sharp image contrast and rich color accuracy. Featuring a built-in retractable metal lens hood, smooth long-throw manual focus ring, crisp aperture detents down to f/32, and standard metering prongs ("rabbit ears") for compatibility with older non-AI meters. Native to vintage Nikon film SLRs (such as the FM, FE, F2, F3) and fully functional with full-aperture metering on modern Nikon DSLRs with AI metering coupling ridges (D7000 series, D300, D700, D800, D750, D850, Df) as well as mirrorless bodies via FTZ adapters. Accepts standard 52mm front filters. Serial number 210864. Complete with a front Nikon clip-on lens cap.

Condition

Overall Condition: Very Good

Optics are clear, fungus-free, and haze-free with light internal dust and minor light surface marking to the inside of the front optical element (unlikely to affect image quality). The black metal lens barrel finish is in clean cosmetic condition with crisp white and yellow distance markings and a smooth sliding built-in hood. Metal Nikon F bayonet mount flange, stop-down linkage lever, and metering prongs are bright and unblemished. Manual focus helicoid turns smoothly and evenly, aperture ring clicks crisply into every stop, and aperture blades are completely oil-free and snappy. Serial number 210864. Fully tested and working.
