The Nikon Speedlight SB-400 is an ultra-compact, lightweight external i-TTL shoe-mount flash unit designed for Nikon DX and FX digital SLRs, Z-series mirrorless cameras (via hot shoe), and i-TTL compatible Coolpix digital cameras. Offering a significant power upgrade over built-in popup flashes with a Guide Number of 21 (meters at ISO 200), it features a tilting flash head that rotates vertically up to 90 degrees for soft bounce lighting. Simple, intuitive operation with a rear power switch, ready indicator light, and quick-locking hot shoe lever. Powered by two standard AA batteries. Serial number 2341411. Complete with original Nikon SS-400 soft zippered pouch and original gold product box.

Metal hot shoe contact plate, pin linkage, and quick-lock mechanism are bright and clean. Battery compartment door and contacts are completely free of oxidation or battery leakage. Fully tested and operational: Recycles rapidly, fires reliably across i-TTL exposure modes, tilt head detents securely at 0, 60, 75, and 90 degrees, and ready LED illuminates properly.
