Description:
SMC Pentax-M 80–200mm f/4.5 manual-focus telephoto zoom lens for Pentax K mount, in excellent vintage condition. Produced between 1979 and 1984, this lens succeeded the earlier K-series version and came in two iterations—one a rebadged K lens, the other with a revised optical design.
It features a constant f/4.5 aperture, Super Multi-Coating (SMC) for improved contrast and flare resistance, and a push-pull zoom mechanism for quick focal length changes. The lens is fully compatible with Pentax film bodies and digital K-mount DSLRs in manual and aperture-priority modes.

Collector Notes:
This lens delivers excellent sharpness and color rendering, especially when stopped down. The constant aperture across the zoom range is a rare feature in vintage zooms. The push-pull design allows fast framing but may develop zoom creep over time. No “A” setting on the aperture ring, so it’s best suited for manual and aperture-priority shooting. A characterful lens with solid build and nostalgic charm.
