Description

The Tokina 28mm f/2.8 is a compact, high-quality vintage manual focus wide-angle prime lens featuring a native Minolta SR / MC / MD bayonet mount. Delivering a classic 28mm wide-angle perspective, it offers a dynamic field of view ideal for landscape, street, architectural, and environmental portraiture. Coated optical elements effectively reduce internal reflections and lens flare to provide strong contrast and vibrant color rendition. Compatible with all Minolta manual focus 35mm film SLRs (such as the X-700, XD, X-300, and SRT series) and easily adapted to modern mirrorless camera systems (Sony E, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF) using standard MD adapter rings. Constructed with a durable, lightweight all-metal lens barrel, ribbed rubber focus grip, tactile aperture detents, and a compact 49mm front filter thread. Serial number 8902603. Complete with a front Tokina lens cap and rear Minolta MD mount cap.

Overall Condition: Very Good

Optics are clear, fungus-free, and haze-free with light internal dust typical for a vintage prime lens. The black anodized metal lens barrel finish is in clean cosmetic condition with crisp white lettering and intact rubber focus grip texturing. Metal Minolta MD bayonet mount flange, stop-down lever, and aperture coupling lug are bright and clean. Manual focus ring rotates smoothly and evenly across the distance scale, aperture ring clicks crisply into each stop, and aperture blades are oil-free and snappy. Serial number 8902603. Fully tested and working.
